In-Home, Lifetime Warranty; This Warranty applies only in the United States to products manufactured or distributed by Body-Solid, Inc.(Body-Solid) under the Body-Solid brand name. The warranty period to the original purchaser is lifetime of the original purchaser.
Body-Solid warrants that the Product you have purchased for non-commercial, personal, family, or household use from Body-Solid or from an authorized Body-Solid reseller is free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Your sales receipt, showing the date of purchase of the Product, is your proof of the date of purchase. This warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser. It is not transferable to anyone who subsequently purchases the Product from you. It excludes expendable parts such as paint and finish. This Warranty becomes VALID ONLY if the Product is assembled / installed according to the instructions / directions included with the Product.

| I have been very impressed with this bench. It is very strong and sturdy. It easily folds up and can slide under my bed when not in use. The materials are very solid and of good quality. It easily unfolds and I can quickly and easily change the various back positions. Lifetime warranty is nice to have. I'm 6'5" and my wife is 5'3" and the bench is comfortable for each of us. Very happy with purchase. |

| Just got my bench today and I'm already loving it! I'm a 5'8", 63 year old female, about 100 lbs overweight, with a slightly injured right elbow caused by a recent fall. Yet I had no trouble getting the bench out of the box and fully setting it up - all in less than 10 minutes. I think the hardest part was standing the bench on end and lifting it about 6 inches up and out of the box as my strength isn't what it used to be - but even so it only took medium effort for me to do that. Then I just wheeled it down the hall to my back room, laid it on the floor, pulled the red knob to adjust the back, and the other red knob to adjust the front -- and that was it! They aren't kidding when they said it was fully assembled and ready to go. I tried a few dumbbell exercises at different inclines, but skipped trying the decline position for now because I wasn't sure my stomach muscles would be strong enough to pull me up again. LOL! The bench feels very sturdy and the width, height and padding make it very comfortable to kneel or sit on. I also did an experiment by setting the bench at various inclines so I could do modified sit ups from a sitting position which for now, at least for me, is better than getting all the way down on the floor to do them. When I did just a few repetitions of these sit ups at a couple of different angles, I could really feel my stomach muscles working! This bench rounds out my home gym which also includes a recumbent bike and some dumbbells. I've also recently joined a gym which I'll be using mostly for additional cardio machines, as well as to use some of their lower body machines. But this bench will be great for ab and upper body workouts, especially for being able to independently do dumbbell exercises using my right arm, in place of the using the gym machines which might cause further injury to my right elbow. So...I would recommend this bench even for people like myself who are really out of shape, and I know it will work just as well for me as I gradually improve in strength and lose weight. As an added bonus, my cats like it too. :) |

| I just received my body solid adjustable bench in and my first impressions are mixed. The bench does have a slight wobble, but that seems to go away if you are sitting on it. I'm guessing it is the rubber squares under the legs and once I sit on it it pushes them down a bit. Time will tell. One of the annoying things I've already discovered are that while the item requires no assembly, it does require disassembly to remove all the plastic wrap, and then obviously you must reassemble it It is only removing the seats, but it was still annoying. My warranty card also said it had to be received within ten days, that better be ten days from the date i received it. Every other reputable company allows a warranty via a website, but by doing it through mail, body-solid is counting on people to missing the deadline or just forgetting to mail it off. The adjustable bench seems good, the bar that latches into the angled slots do require extra attention to ensure it is in the slot correctly, if the crossbar was half an inch wider, this wouldn't be an issue. overall, it is a heavy bench and seems up to the job. Had I purchased the 299 and not the refurbished model I'd be more irritated, but overall I doubt you can get a better product at this price. |
