The heavy duty FID46 is based on a heavy gauge 3 inch round stock steel mainframe with gives it a 1,000lb. capacity. The 9-position seat and back pads are synchronized for movement. Both have pads that are a full 2¾ inch thick and will never bottom out. The FID46 works great in Power Racks, Smith Machines and the strongest leverage gym systems. In addition to all the intense upper body exercises the FID46 delivers, the removable Leg Developer provides a concentrated lower body workout. Featuring upholstered 4” x 8” rollers and oversize brass bushings for friction-free movement. Load up the Olympic plate post and perform leg extensions with full 90 degree seat back support and lying leg curls from the traditional arched prone position. In-Home, Lifetime Warranty; This Warranty applies only in the United States to products manufactured or distributed by Body-Solid, Inc.(Body-Solid) under the Body-Solid brand name. The warranty period to the original purchaser is lifetime of the original purchaser.
Body-Solid warrants that the Product you have purchased for non-commercial, personal, family, or household use from Body-Solid or from an authorized Body-Solid reseller is free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Your sales receipt, showing the date of purchase of the Product, is your proof of the date of purchase. This warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser. It is not transferable to anyone who subsequently purchases the Product from you. It excludes expendable parts such as paint and finish. This Warranty becomes VALID ONLY if the Product is assembled / installed according to the instructions / directions included with the Product.
During the warranty period Body-Solid will at no additional charge, repair or replace (at Body-Solid's option) the Product if it becomes defective, malfunctions, or otherwise fails to conform with this Warranty under normal non-commercial, personal, family, or household use. In repairing the product Body-Solid may replace defective parts or, at the option of Body-Solid, serviceable used parts that are equivalent to new parts in performance. All exchanged parts and Products replaced under this warranty will become the property of Body-Solid. Body-Solid reserves the right to change manufacturers of any part to cover any existing warranty.
To obtain warranty service, you must return the Product to Body-Solid in its original container (or equivalent). You must pro-pay any shipping charges, export taxes, customs duties and taxes, or any other charges associated with transportation of the Product. In addition, you are responsible for insuring any Product shipped or returned. You assume the risk of loss during shipment. You must present Body-Solid with proof-of-purchase documents (including the date of purchase). Any evidence of alteration, erasing or forgery of proof -of-purchase documents will be cause to void this Warranty.

Pro's: - really solid bench, is quite heavy and sturdy - wheels allow relatively easy mobility - 8 adjustable positions from decline, to flat, to almost upright - leg extension with handles that can allow you to lay on your stomach to work your hamstrings - good for sit-ups, especially from the decline position - padding is quite thick and solid, yet comfortable - the back pad is almost 3 ft. so ample space - all the screws, nuts, bolts, washers are clearly labeled and separated to make for an organized assembly
Cons: I was looking for one bench to do decline, flat, and upright. It's not completely upright, which isn't such a big deal but having it not be so comfortable flat is a disappointment. Having the leg extension though makes up for the shortcoming as it makes the bench more versatile. Having the back pad so long though makes it difficult to do tricep extensions sitting upright. However doing them while sitting on a ball is better for you anyway. |

I bought this and the box came within a few days. I opened it up to find out that this was a box that had been opened previously and a few pieces were mising. Don't know who exactly to blame on that (Body Solid or Amazon) but I was extremely disappointed by this. I called Body-Solid and they sent out the missing parts immediately.
Once I had all parts assembly was not too bad but took a little while. I could see it being tough for the not-so-handy types, or the guys who get almost all the way through a project and notice they forgot a bolt from step 1 (I would be that category). The bench is rock solid. My buddy and I are big dudes and we lift big weights. We got this bench to replace our old one which may not have been up to the task to support our lifting. This monster is more than able. Comes complete too with handles for leg excersizes and the leg developer locks in place to hold your feet when you do declines. This is a serious bench and a great addition to any serious lifter's gym. |

| This is a HEAVY duty bench. It is extremely comfortable. I'm 5'10 or 11 and can reach the floor with my feet, no problem. The handles for the leg workouts are a great addition. The wheels make moving it easy. It is really long, but getting it out of the way is a snap. With the bench in the flat position, it can be stood up on the wheels and the top of the back support. Adjusting the angle is a smooth action. If you don't want to use olympic weights, you can leave the sleeve off. Once it's installed though, it's not something that you can just slide back off. |

t's a tank. downright fun to assemble. a bit messily packed and a few scuffs, but i've already stopped caring.
it's heavy, much more sturdy than the junk you find at sport authority, big 5 etc. durable, sleek, powerful, adjustable, sexy, and made for people who actually USE the gear they buy i did my research before buying and this is the best FID bench on the market... and quite possibly the best quality leg developer on any bench it even comes with an olympic adapter that bolts on sturdy. many benches don't. if this bench got you reaching for the plastic, keep going. it's the one you want. PS the photo lies: mine isn't that color, it's 100% jet black with some chrome highlights. i was VERY happy to discover this! |

| Pro's: - really solid bench, is quite heavy (makes it hard to move around, but also very sturdy) - handles are a nice touch that most benches do not have. - padding is very thick. - all the screws, nuts, bolts, washers are clearly labeled and separated to make for an organized assembly Cons: - the pads were a slight hassle to fit, just make sure you don't tighten everything up until everything is aligned and started. - high off the ground - at 5'11" and doing bench press, my toes barely touch the ground. I use small wooden boxes under my feet to get a good foot plant. I was looking for one bench to do flat, incline and decline (only for legs). The bench is too high from the ground. The leg developer and the sturdiness makes up for the shortcomings of the bench. I would also like a little more range of motion for the leg developer. Overall above average. |

| This bench is a Beast. Soo awsome. Perfect for my basement which is a moderate size. The leg developer is removeable by pins. 1 pin to attach to bench 1 pin to lock the hinge which is really great for storage. Pins like at the gym that adjust plates on a stack. Ya, its a little bit taller but its built really well. Better stronger than collapsing . Wheels make moving easier. I use squat stands so this easily works with those like hand and glove. I would've bought this bench years ago if I had known. If you are building a home gym and or workout with someone privately BUY THIS BENCH. |
